Coordinator Residency Program

This is a hybrid position. The onsite requirements are currently one day per week and could be subject to change.

Job Summary

Manage daily operations of residency and/or fellowship, including compliance of resident/fellow training, accreditation of the program, and supporting the program director in the development of training opportunities.

Essential Functions
  • Graduate Medical Education Support:

    • Document maintenance designed to ensure continued accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)

    • Assists the Program Director in preparation for accreditation site review

    • Provide administrative support to faculty committees

    • Provide administrative support to Program Director

  • Budget and Finance:

    • Monitor and assist in preparation of budget

    • Notify Finance of monthly payments to teaching faculty

    • Monitor deposits and disbursements

  • Scheduling:

    • Coordinate schedules necessary for the daily operation of the residency

    • Publish monthly schedule and coordinate updates when changes in rotations occur

    • Organize residency related committees, meetings, and conferences, to include scheduling rooms, catering, audio-visuals and other meeting needs

  • Records and Statistics:

    • Maintain logs and records of residency statistics, and generate appropriate reports

    • Maintain and monitor resident and faculty evaluations

    • Maintain and update resident database

    • Assist residents and teaching faculty with preparation of handouts and other teaching materials

  • Recruitment - Credentials - Orientation - Graduation:

    • Coordinate recruitment process by using the ERAS System based on Program Director's guidelines, prepare rank order lists, schedule interviews, preparation of marketing materials and brochures, and other related activities

    • Verify that resident credentials, certifications and licenses are kept current

    • Assist in orientation of new residents

  • Coordinates special projects and/or programs for Program Director and other teaching faculty, which may include, but is not limited to data entry, transcription, correspondence, agendas, meeting minutes, calendars and scheduling, and travel arrangements.

  • Assist residents on general training program related issues

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree or equal experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred

  • Bachelors Degree
