The registered nurse provides services in all area settings: Triage, Antepartum, Labor, Delivery, and Recovery. Performs assessments based on the patient's presentation, medical condition and care needs. Utilizes the nursing process to plan, perform, delegate and evaluate the delivery of nursing care in the Perinatal Services department. Provides mentoring, and guidance to nurses new to the Perinatal Services department and is engaged in department orientation and skills training and testing. Other duties include interdisciplinary team involvement, committees, program evaluation, research, education and the supervision of students. Performs duties within the scope of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and established organizational and regulatory requirements.

• Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification.
• Completion of AWHONN Fetal monitoring course
• Ability to provide care in all aspects of Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum care including OB triage.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• RN Specialty Certification.
