Hammer & Die Repair Person

PRIMARY DUTIES include, but not limited to:

To repair and prepare forging hammers, press dies, and other wearable components for use in Carpenter's forging equipment, using welding/cutting, heat treating, milling, and grinding equipment.

  • Operates mobile equipment (fork trucks, vechicles)

  • Operate overhead cranes (remote and pendant)

  • Operate furnaces

  • Operate MIG welder and Carbon/Air Arc

  • Operate miscellaneous grinders and pneumatic tools

  • Utilize hand tools to assemble components

  • Utilize required Shop Floor screens

  • Operates in a safe manner and observes safety rules and guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduation from a technical training school with an emphasis on Welding; or 2 years relevant experience within the last 10 years.

  • Must be supportive of Manufacturing & Maintenance goals

  • Must have a valid Driver's License

  • Applicants must be willing to upgrade their knowledge and skills as new technology and methods are introduced. This will involve attending training schools.

  • Successful candidates will rotate shifts and will work overtime hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
