Overview

Job will comprise of four potential components.

    System installation, diagnosis, repair, performance maintenance (sometimes with qualification), training and support for Water's product suite (GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, SFC, Informatics) within Milford, Immerse and Taunton laboratories.
  • Installation, repair and rework of MS instrumentation toward the timely supply of a high quality, re-worked instrumentation portfolio ready for sale.
  • Work seamlessly with The Field, Global Support and Level 2 Escalation Teams to support the Service teams throughout the Americas organization when needed.
  • Assist with the build out and daily workload to incorporate Metrology in SSD and remove the 3rd party burden and drive cost reduction.


Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Enable success of internal and external customers. Support business growth through the highest levels of customer service delivery. Documentation of all activity should occur in the business system of choice (e.g. Compass) to support service history analysis, inventory control and quality management.
  • Manage the daily workload to receive, log, test and calibrate FSS tools (>1600 tools per year)
  • Learning and support new products and technologies to ensure the success of Sales activities, first customer shipments, and Field Service Specialist training and support.
  • Installation, support and repair of instrumentation and systems in Waters laboratories and field offices to ensure success of Waters Business Units and MS Demonstration Lab activities.
  • Assist with the timely supply of high quality, Re-worked MS instrumentation.
  • Effective liaison with Quality, Engineering and Customer Experience/User Experience teams, striving for continual improvement.
  • Domestic and international travel required for training, installation and support activities within the Americas to assist regions and drive revenue.


Qualifications

Education:

  • An engineering or science related degree is desired.

Experience:

  • Applications knowledge - An understanding of the operation, deployment and troubleshooting of instrumentation and informatics, in addition to the applications knowledge to provide a true system level approach to problem solving.
  • 2 years of experience with installation, performance maintenance (sometimes with qualification), troubleshooting, support and/or end user utilization of some or all of the following Waters products (LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, DESI, MALDI)
  • Experience with deployment, use and diagnosing Scientific Information Systems coupled to the hardware (e.g. MassLynx, Empower and/or Waters Connect)
