What is the opportunity?

As aJunior Corporate Analystwith RBC BlueBay Global Asset Management, you will be responsible for Credit analysis of potential investee companies, covering a range of different company sizes within the financial sector while analyzing historic and forecast financial statements, preparing integrated financial models and conducting sensitivity analyses. You will also summarize industry and company specific investment drivers and risks and making recommendations for inclusion in both long-only and long/short funds.

You will be working as part of a small team to carry out due diligence on investee companies and monitoring portfolio holdings.

What will you do?

  • Support Senior Corporate Analyst covering financial issuers in both IG, HY and leveraged loan spaces
  • Learn about individual characteristics of IG, HY and loan markets as it pertains to investments in the financial sector
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues and financial commitments of both individual issuers as well as of the sector more broadly.
  • Prepare financial models (including forward-looking estimates in some cases) for issuers within the sector
  • Prepare materials for credit analysis, including proprietary ESG evaluations
  • Confer with company officials about financial and regulatory matters.
  • Assist in client enquiries and reporting requirements as it pertains to holdings within the financial sector

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 0-3 years' experience. If recent graduate, internship experience required.
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Capacity to present/communicate materials in a way that facilitates decision making and drives outcomes
  • Solid analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills

For Stamford, CT the expected salary range for this particular position is $80,000-$135,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

For Minneapolis MN the expected salary range for this particular position is $65,000-$115,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
