Job Summary
Assesses information needs, analyzes results and presents key findings in support of day-to-day business matters. Plans and manages data and analytics projects of low to moderate complexity and impact to the business.
Essential Functions
- Creates reports and maintains data that supports day-to-day operations and compliance with key policies, procedures and metrics. Analyzes metrics and supports audits of source data.
- Participates in the planning, development, modeling, implementation and reporting of all related data.
- Supports leaders and subject matter experts to identify short-term data and analytics goals related to business objectives.
- Prepares ad hoc and re-occurring reports. Tracks and reposts the financial implications of business decisions and identifies approaches to resolve business problems. Monitors and reports on progress and results as requested.
- Analyzes and reports trend data to assist in planning. Recommends changes to business processes and procedures as appropriate.
- Partners with sales, finance and field sales to implement research designs and quantitative techniques using mid to high-level analytical tools.
- Serves as a liaison to internal and external suppliers of data and insights for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Creates files that include topics related to internal processes and procedural trends in commissions, headcount and territory alignment.
- Works with supervisors to develop, communicate, and enforce standards for proper documentation and organization of electronic files, data and actuarial data deliverables.
- Trains and mentors less experienced specialists within the section.
- Conducts special research projects as directed.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree With a minimum of three years of experience in research, analysis, strategic planning, financial analysis, information systems or related field
required - Sales operations experience preferred and
- Experience with dataset, programming, querying and reporting design required. required and
- Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Predictive Analytics experience preferred and
- Project management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- An understanding of analysis and research required.
- Knowledge of JIRA, Power BI, and Advanced Analytics preferred.
- Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis and quantitative techniques preferred.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and flow-charting software required.
- Proficiency with research-specific, statistical report writing software preferred.
