Nurse Practitioner Supervisor - Interventional Radiology

Description

This role supervises the practice and performance of a group of NPs caring and performing procedures for the Interventional Radiology population. The NP Supervisor functions as an expert in formulating medical diagnosis, plan of care, developing Standardized Procedures, Protocols and other related patient care issues. This position directs the daily operation of care services provided by nurse practitioners with the focus on the provision of prompt and effective delivery of care. In addition, the administrative responsibilities include recruitment, education, promotion and evaluation of NPs.

Salary range: $140,200 - $331,800 annually

Qualifications
  • California RN and CA NP License-required
  • MSN/DNP in Adult Acute Care (AG-ACNP) NP Specialty- required
  • National Board Certification in Adult Acute Care (AG-ACNP) NP Specialty- required
  • DEA , Furnishing license-required
  • minimum 5 years NP experience -required
  • Radiology experience preferred. Independent performance of procedures preferred, Supervisory experience required
  • BLS Certification from AHA or ARC required
  • Ability
    to develop and monitor complex and comprehensive plans of care-required
  • Ability
    to develop, monitor and evaluate clinical protocols, standards of care, P/P and
    other documents related to patient care-required
  • Ability
    to assess educational needs of staff, patient, and family-required
  • Ability
    to develop and implement educational programs-required
  • Ability
    to interview, select and promote nurse practitioner staff-required
  • Ability
    to supervise clinical performance of staff and contribute to evaluation-required
  • Ability
    to consult on a broad spectrum of professional nursing practice issues
    including but not limited to: nursing practice performance standards, program
    development, professional practice models, research utilization models, system
    change strategies and professional development-required
  • Ability
    to conduct and utilize research-required
  • Ability
    to apply principles of change theory and systems theory to implement innovative
    patient care practices system-wide-required
  • Ability
    to evaluate clinical and financial outcomes-required
  • Ability
    to mentor staff-required
