  • CNC Set-Up Machinist

We are looking to hire a talented CNC Set-Up Machinist based in Denton, Texas.

    Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the CNC Set-Up Machinist is responsible for performing major adjustments and set-ups on CNC machines in our manufacturing facility. This specialized role requires intermediate knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.

    Primary Duties

  • Performs major adjustments and set ups on CNC machines
  • Performs simple CNC programming
  • Performs simple/major operations on machines to produce/machine parts
  • Checks parts for correct measurements to verify conformance to specifications
  • Work efficiently to attain realization goals
  • Follow regulatory agency (FDA, UL or ISO) standards or policies
  • Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • At least one year of CNC machining production experience
  • Ability to use and interpret calipers and micrometers
  • Ability to read and interpret orders
  • High level of manual dexterity
  • Ability to multi-task and work at multiple machines
  • Ability to use tools
  • Excellent work record (i.e.: Attendance, Attitude and Productivity)
  • Willing to work overtime as required
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English language
  • Working Conditions

  • Must be able to withstand physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
  • Moves transports, puts, or removes materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes, pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' at all times in the facility, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.
  • Must be comfortable working in an machine shop/manufacturing environment
