As a Forecasting Solutions Analyst I, you will be responsible for mitigating ENGIE's risks related to retail electric customer load while uncovering key insights from market and customer data. In this role, you will support pre-deal activities, including load data acquisition, quality assurance, analysis, forecasting, and providing subject matter expertise to the C&I Pricing and Sales teams. The ideal candidate will be skilled in interpreting and manipulating load data, quantifying and explaining its relationships with customers, premises, weather, and market dynamics. Preference will be given to solutions-oriented candidates with a strong understanding of deregulated electric market load data fundamentals, who can identify, develop, and implement enhancements to pre-deal load forecasting processes and platforms. This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Supply Manager.

  • Manage pre-deal load data processing for assigned markets, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and standards
  • Enhance customer experience by optimizing forecast accuracy through process and platform improvements
  • Develop expertise in market dynamics, internal and external platforms, and the broader impact of forecasting on stakeholders and company performance

  • This is an entry-level position, and prior experience is not required. You will be expected to deliver high-quality work while collaborating with internal stakeholders, including sales, pricing, and IT teams
  • You are an effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills, capable of working independently in a flexible environment without close supervision
  • You have strong problem-solving, analytical, and statistical skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments accurately and respond promptly to dynamic stakeholder requirements
  • You have a solid understanding of energy market fundamentals, including load properties (usage, demand, load factor, voltage, losses, and read cycles) and deregulated market design
  • You have experience handling and analyzing large quantities of electric usage data, identifying anomalies, and performing data manipulation for forecasting, pricing, and contracting
  • You are familiar with MS Excel (intermediate or better), Power BI or Tableau for data visualization, and Oracle or Microsoft SQL for data extraction and management
