Safety & Compliance Coordinator
As the Safety & Compliance Coordinator you will be responsible for providing overall compliance and health & safety support in Field Services projects.

Essential Functions & Requirements:



  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
  • Audits various work sites to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental requirements and government regulations; recommends and monitors corrective actions
  • Provides technical assistance to assist Company managers in controlling losses from injuries, liabilities and property losses; develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new standards and safety practices
  • Develops and conducts health and safety training programs
  • Coordinates accident investigations; assists when appropriate and ensures completion of necessary paperwork
  • Coordinates medical, workman's compensation and insurance programs to control costs; serves as liaison between insured and insurance carrier when appropriate
  • Represents the Company with OSHA, the EPA, the DOT, and any other regulatory officials regarding permitting, violations, inspections as requested
  • Assists with obtaining quality safety equipment and when applying for required safety permits.
  • Assists in the development of Corporate safety budget and monitors budget for assigned areas to ensure adherence
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree (required); science or safety discipline (preferred)


Experience:



  • 3+ years of experience working with health and safety related programs (required)


Competencies:



  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations pertaining to the environmental services and safety industry
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
