Server Administrator As the Server Administrator you will be part of a team that is responsible for supporting the entire organizational computing environment including hardware procurement and deployment, Tier 3 system support, project management of deployment and rehab projects and various assigned monitoring and management responsibilities. Essential Functions & Requirements:
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
- Provides support for existing Active Directory infrastructure deployments
- Provides support for Group Policy management and group policy design
- Utilizes PowerShell to automate processes and changes in environment as required
- Designs, deploys, and troubleshoots VMWare ESX servers as required
- Designs, configures, and manages Windows and Linux virtual servers
- Adheres to and creates updates to process documentation as needed
- Manages projects related to deployment of new servers and Active Directory changes
- Documents configuration and monitors various aspects of server infrastructure via SolarWinds
- Supports ServiceDesk in resolving escalated tickets requiring specific technical knowledge
- Provides Tier 3 server troubleshooting and support, including on-call rotation, and after-hours support
- Maintains the ability to travel occasionally as needed up to 20%
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education:
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor's degree in information technology (preferred)
- VMWare Certification - VCP-DCV (preferred)
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with Active Directory / Group Policy management (required)
