Positions in this function are responsible for the operations of the provider network(s) in the Los Angeles area and is the direct interface between Optum and the affiliate physician network. This position provides continuous education, support, training and troubleshooting to physicians and their office staff.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Engage Providers: Initiate and maintain communication with healthcare providers to encourage and guide them through the process of repapering their existing contracts to the Optum contract
  • Build Rapport: Develop and maintain solid, trust-based relationships with providers, ensuring they feel supported throughout the contract transition process
  • Follow-Up & Reminders: Stay on top of follow-up activities to prevent delays, making regular reminder calls and sending communication as needed to keep providers on track
  • In-Person Visits: Conduct regular in-person visits to answer questions, address concerns, and maintain provider momentum in the process
  • Drive Contract Signing: Ensure that providers remain focused on the goal of signing the Optum

Required Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience in a health plan, managed care organization, medical group physician office or IPA setting
  • Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Suite
  • Managed Care experience
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation



Preferred Qualification:



  • 5+ years of experience in a health plan, managed care organization, medical group physician office or IPA setting



The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
