Position Overview: Senior Water Resources Engineer I

Our client is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer I to join their team at the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) in Celebration, FL. This embedded position requires the candidate to report to the office full-time and contribute to the Moving I-4 Forward program, one of the largest and highest-profile transportation projects in Florida. The Senior Water Resources Engineer will play a vital role in the planning, design, and execution of water resources projects.

Responsibilities:




  • Prepare project specifications, complete project documents, analysis, and reports.



  • Analyze and interpret data, conducting impact studies, cost analyses, design requirements, and site selection.



  • Design systems, components, and processes related to water resources.



  • Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects.



  • Provide technical guidance to junior and support staff, and manage small multidisciplinary teams.



  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with client objectives, regulations, and industry standards.




Qualifications:




  • Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.



  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and ordinances.



  • Proficiency in production software and construction document production.



  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for delivering innovative solutions.



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
