Job Description

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate overall knowledge of financial reporting and accounting analysis. The candidate will assist in the preparation and review of financial reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders, translate data into reports and sophisticated financial models supporting the management team in making informed decisions. This is a growth opportunity in a rapidly expanding company and industry
  • Assist with the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze current and historical financial results, perform variance analysis of key metrics, identify trends and recommend actions
  • Support senior management team and department leaders with in-depth analysis
  • Perform various financial analysis and develop financial models to support strategic initiatives
  • Develop and track key performance metrics against the company's strategic objectives
  • Actively monitor financial statement deliverables and communicate to stakeholders
  • Assist in various efforts to improve the efficiency surrounding financial reporting by developing automated processes and applications
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
  • Lead monthly and quarterly presentations explaining financial results to senior management.
  • Effectively collaborate with other departments such as property accounting, AP and AR

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Requires an 'Executive Presence', process improvement and statistical analysis skills.
  • Desire to utilize analytical skills in order to use the data to tell a story

  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrates strategic and creative thinking ability
  • Proven team player with the ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams
  • A self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and adheres to high standards for work quality

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in financial reporting or related fields, big 4 experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields
  • CPA preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to create financial models
  • Knowledge of Real Estate industry and terminology is a major plus

This role will report into our Tustin, California office and will work a hybrid work schedule.

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$97,340.00 - $162,240.00
