THE ROLE

We're looking for a Consulting Principal who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consulting Principal (which is an Associate Director level position) this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues. In addition to enabling consulting excellence through the Five Pillars of Consulting, the specific requirements for this position are below.

Within the Consulting group is our Post-Merger Integration Advisory practice, which assists the Fortune 2000 in developing a competitive advantage for their organizations by strategically aligning IT with business objectives and emerging industry needs. We are seeking people who are passionate about transformation, want to make an impact, and love working together to deliver flawless results for an end-client. Specifically, we are looking for a Consulting Principal to join us in a leadership role on our team.

We are seeking a highly experienced Consulting Principal with 14 to 16 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise strategic insight and a proven track record of driving successful consulting engagements. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of both remote and in-office work with no travel required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead consulting projects in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Oversee project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of client objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on industry best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of client needs and develop tailored consulting strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions and ensure seamless implementation.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance client capabilities and knowledge.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate project outcomes and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies throughout project execution.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive insights and inform decision-making processes.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants to build a strong and capable team.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a deep understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance industry trends and challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to assess client needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Show proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Have a proven track record of leading successful consulting engagements in the insurance domain.
  • Display the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Bring a strategic mindset to drive business growth and client success.
  • Hold a relevant certification such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide and mentor project teams.
  • Exhibit a client-focused approach to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Show proficiency in data analytics and the ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills to address complex client challenges.
  • Have experience in preparing detailed reports and delivering impactful presentations.

Work Authorization:

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $122,400 - $194,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
