EXCITED TO GROW YOUR CAREER? WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE! The Manager of Design Services leads the design and user experience practice for Maritz digital products. This role involves leading a team of designers, researchers and front-end developers, setting design standards, and ensuring that our products meet user needs and business goals.

Direct Reports and Budget Responsibility

Reporting and Working Relationships

  • Direct Reports:UX/UI Designer Specialists & Front-end Developers

  • Title of Peers: Sr. Manager, Manager-Product Engineering

  • Internal and External Contacts: Product Managers, IT Engineering/Development Managers, Software Engineers, Marketing

Primary Responsibilities

40% Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of UI/UX designers, researchers and front end developers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality design work. Monitor progress on deliverables, and present to leadership.

30% Strategy: Develop and implement the UX strategy, aligning it with the company's brand identity and product goals. Establish and maintain design standards and best practices for the team.

30% Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality. Support rapid prototyping and usability testing to validate design concepts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UI and UX design.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma or other prototyping tools.

  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Travel Required: Yes

  • Percentage of Time Required: 10- 20%
