Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The Operations Scheduler provides flight line, aircrew, academic, simulator, static aircraft,

and alert scheduling services. This is a customer facing position where professionalism and tact are important. Timeliness, responsiveness, and quality in both person and products determine success

Generate resource schedule as directed by Operational Support Squadron leadership, de-conflicting schedules between aircrew and aircraft.

Perform mission-coordinating activities including flying schedule execution, aircraft tracking, documentation, and coordination with maintenance personnel. Aircrew proficiency metrics will be maintained as directed by squadron leadership to assist in continuation training scheduling and prioritization. Planning products will be built to include graphical representation of data for leadership and aircrew situational awareness.

Coordinate with maintenance function daily to schedule aircrew to support Functional Check Flights (FCF), maintenance ground runs and operational checks.

Monitor aircrew status for recurring training, medical, egress and periodic requirements to ensure fully qualified members are available. Coordinate/conduct weekly scheduling meetings to brief management on aircrew status/availability and forecast future aircrew requirements.

Formulate and devise printed and electronic flying schedule.



Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

The strongest candidate will have documented Air Force experience successfully operating within this role.

Additionally desirable is a detailed knowledge of Air Force Operations syllabi, training prerequisites, and currency requirements.

Have an active DOD or Federal Secret security clearance (Preferred).

Operate independently and make decisions according to standard policies, procedures and within security parameters

A knowledge of flight-line operations and safety is desired

The following skills and abilities are required:

Must be able to obtain and maintain in force a valid driver's license.

Must be a citizen of the United States of America.

Obtain and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to generate, compile, analyze and evaluate facts and data using statistical and research methodologies

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must have ability to develop professional relationships with management, peers, maintainers, and customers.

Must be able to work weekends, other shifts, and unpaid overtime as required.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company proprietary data.

Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.

Physical Requirements

Primarily an office position, the employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
