Job Overview
The Aircraft Technician reports to the Aviation Technical Operations Manager and performs both technical and customer-facing aspects of flight support, ensuring passenger safety and comfort. This role is responsible for on-site and off-site technical project management, maximizing the reliability and availability of company aircraft. The Aircraft Technician maintains company aircraft and supports flight operations.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform flight technician, cabin attendant, and various passenger support duties for select missions
  • Travel as required to manage third party and offsite technical projects
  • Coordinate technical support, logistics, and communications with key aviation stakeholders during away-from-base operations
  • Assist passengers with luggage and boarding aircraft
  • Ensure the highest level of passenger experience by addressing in-flight concerns, assisting with cabin systems, and serving in-flight beverages and meals
  • Conduct Trip Ready inspections of company aircraft
  • Diagnose and address aircraft technical issues
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings with crew regarding aircraft status and technical dispatch
  • Oversee and perform aircraft maintenance and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Assist with maintenance planning and forecasting functions
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) by identifying safety or reliability issues within the department
  • Provide support for aircraft parts, tooling, GSE, and HazMat programs

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Fully engaged with industry and aircraft technical advancements
  • Proficient with use of advanced technology and computer skills for troubleshooting aircraft systems and electronic record-keeping

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of aviation experience
  • FAA - Airframe and Powerplant certificate
  • Physical requirements such as the ability to climb a ladder and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree
  • FAA - Cabin Safety Attendant certification
