The Role

Lumen is hiring NOC Technicians for its Transport Network Operations Center. The team supports and resolves issues on the Lumen Transport network. The NOC Technician I handles installation and maintenance of network systems.

This position will work closely with other Lumen organizations toward the resolution of service impacting network events and will have a direct impact on the resolution of complex trouble situations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning new technologies and advancing their technical skillset in alignment with Lumen's digital transformation and cultural beliefs of Teamwork, Trust, and Transparency.

Location

This is a hybrid role with multiple openings and is open to candidates based in Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; Tempe, AZ; or Monroe, LA. Shifts for this team are on a 24/7 schedule and candidates must have the ability to work any shift in a 7x24x365 environment.

Shifts for these positions are to be determined but each will be assigned a set schedule of days between Monday to Sunday, either working day shifts (6:00 AM-4:00 PM), swing shifts (12:00 PM-10:00 PM), or mid shifts (9:00 PM-7:00 AM).

The Main Responsibilities

Monitors and maintains the Lumen Transport Network. Works the repair of network equipment and facilities with field operations, next level supportother Lumen teams, and off-net providers.
Learns knowledge of equipment-specific maintenance procedures and is capable of assisting field operations with card replacements and equipment restoration.
Evaluate the layout of the transport network and decide on maintenance actions according to the network's present condition.
Resolves routine trouble tickets.
Works on relatively straightforward installation and/or maintenance assignments on network switching equipment.
Monitors network operations and resolves routine network monitoring problems.
Monitors network performance
Conducts routine monitoring equipment installation and maintenance activities

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$40,500 - $53,500 in these states: AZ GA LA OK
$42,132 - $56,175 in these states: CO
