DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clinical Dietician, you will be responsible for making clinical decisions for patients based on nutritional information, lab values, physician's orders, as well as departmental and WSH procedures. Work involves completing nutritional assessments, metabolic screens, dietary consults, and progress notes, based on chart reviews, patient visitations, family input, physician orders, and interdisciplinary team interactions. This role requires the ability to use effective communication skills to discuss patient nutritional needs with physicians and health care personnel while ensuring treatment complies with the principles of dietetics and nutrition. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours may change based on operational needs.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

Other Requirements:

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
