Job Summary
The Site IT Leader plays an important role in the development and maintenance of the company's IT and management systems. He/she plays an active role in the selection, installation and commissioning of IT equipment, ensures the proper maintenance and development of this equipment, and oversees the smooth operation of IT links with the company's headquarters and other external sites. He/she is responsible for securing, improving and maintaining the company's network and data.
Key Duties
Responsibilities related to computer equipment: * Select and install new computer equipment; * Prepare computer equipment purchase requisitions; * Set up and configure computers for employees; * Respond to the company's various requests for IT support; * Identify and correct software and hardware problems; * Write solutions to known problems in the knowledge base; * Maintain IT inventory; * Maintain the printer fleet to ensure it is always operational; * Manage the telephone system; * Analyze problems and recommend new ways of doing things. Responsibilities related to network administration: * Set up, configure, maintain and improve the company network, including firewalls, servers, storage units and switches; * Create user accounts for employees and ensure defined standards are maintained; * Ensure availability of services to users through monitoring and reporting tools; * Ensure the security of the company's IT network through sound management of internal and external equipment, while working with management and suppliers to prevent security breaches; * Maintain and improve corporate data backup; * Implement, maintain and improve equipment failover solutions, as well as off-site storage solutions in the event of a disaster; * Ensures smooth operation of external sites. * Must be able to concentrate, analyze and solve complex issues throughout the course of the workday. * Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, reach, bend, stoop, lift throughout the course of the workday. * Ability to work on a PC including repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse for long periods through the course of the workday. * Ability to manually lift up to 50 pounds including PCs and other peripheral hardware. * Carry cell phone to facilitate intra-department communications both during and after normal business hours
Qualifications
* College Diploma in IT Systems or equivalent work experience. * Minimum of 5 years of experience. * Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills along with excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with all levels of internal users. * Knowledge of end-user computer software used in business: Microsoft Office/Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive), Microsoft Operating Systems * Current and past Microsoft operating system technical skills * Knowledge of the following is a plus: VPN, Apple OS * Experience in troubleshooting PC component software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Creative Cloud, Citrix Workspace, etc. * Experience with PC hardware required. * Analytical skills necessary to troubleshoot user problems and determine user needs and system requirements. * Ability to read, understand and follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines. * Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and organized. * Must be able to prioritize and balance workloads and meet strict critical deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and other departments in a cross functional setting. * Ability to make recommendations regarding hardware and software to meet business needs. * Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements. * Travel: 5% *We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran.
