JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, procedures, and products to identify potential quality issues and ensure adherence to established standards.
* Collaborate with manufacturing teams to establish and maintain effective quality control measures, including inspection plans, sampling procedures, and statistical process control methods.
* Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
* Analyze data and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues, reduce variability, and enhance overall manufacturing performance.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as process optimization, root cause analysis, and implementation of quality tools and methodologies.
* Evaluate and monitor suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and delivery requirements.
* Conduct supplier audits and assessments, and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues and improve their manufacturing processes.
* Drive supplier development initiatives to enhance overall supply chain quality and performance.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including inspection records, test reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
* Generate quality metrics and reports to communicate key performance indicators, trends, and areas requiring improvement to management and cross-functional teams.
* Prepare documentation for customer audits and participate in customer quality reviews, addressing inquiries and providing necessary information.
* Stay updated with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems applicable to defense and aerospace manufacturing.
* Ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR, and other customer-specific requirements.
* Participate in regulatory and customer audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing compliance-related inquiries.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or similar).
* Previous experience (typically 3-5 years) in a manufacturing quality engineering role, preferably in the defense and aerospace industry.
* Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, tools, and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, statistical process control, and root cause analysis.
* Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, and ITAR.
* Experience in conducting audits, inspections, and supplier assessments.
* Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using statistical software and quality tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
* Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Professional certifications related to quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus.
