The Butterworth and Blodgett Hospital rehab team provides compassionate care to a wide range of patient populations including cardiovascular, cancer, orthopedics, neurosciences, trauma, and emergency care services. The rehab team plays a critical role during a patient's hospital stay by providing discharge recommendations as well as providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions which improve quality of life. Blodgett and Butterworth Hospitals serve as a major referral center for West Michigan and beyond. These services include the only Level I Trauma Center in West Michigan. This Rehabilitation Supervisor position will lead a team of 33, inclusive of Speech Language Pathologists and Rehab Techs. There is a 30% clinical allocation (12 hours weekly). Scope of work Assumes shift accountability for supervising and coordinating the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the rehabilitation services. Performs the duties of licensed Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists or Speech & Language Pathologist as appropriate. Assists with development of policies, procedures and processes in coordination with leaders to ensure the highest quality services are delivered at the right time at all times to all customers. Key responsibilities include assisting with the following: goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement and maintenance of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships.
