What you will be responsible for:

The Payroll and Benefits Specialist processes bi-weekly payroll using Paylocity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role manages payroll activities, administers employee benefits, reconciles benefit deductions, generates reports, and collaborates with finance. Additionally, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist addresses employee payroll and benefits inquiries, ensures compliance with benefits regulations, and supports HRIS improvements.

Payroll Processing and Compliance



  • Utilize Paylocity software to process and manage payroll activities efficiently
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees
  • Create and manage Paylocity reports to support HR data needs, delivering clear and accurate insights to drive decision-making
  • Review and verify Paylocity timekeeping records for accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams for accurate general ledger and money movement entries.
  • Audit and review quarterly and annual tax filings
  • Generate reports for audits, verifications, and benefits coordination.
  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of Paylocity Time Tracking, Absence, and Payroll modules, aligning with business needs


Benefits Administration



  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible and health spending accounts, and wellness programs
  • Reconcile employee benefits and vendor bills for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Process benefits enrollment, new hires, terminations, and qualifying life event changes
  • Track and coordinate leave of absence pay calculations and deductions



Audit, Reporting and Process Improvement



  • Support internal and external payroll and benefits audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
  • Generate and analyze payroll and benefits reports for management and compliance reviews
  • Contribute to HRIS projects and initiatives, helping to improve processes and implement system enhancements that benefit HR and payroll operations


Employee Support and Issue Resolution



  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits matters with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and benefits issues in a timely manner



Requirements

What you need...

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred
  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus


Experience:



  • 3-5 years of payroll and benefits experience
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS Systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel


Knowledge/Skills:



  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, benefit laws and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our employees
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
