Long Description

As an innovation leader, Gates look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our legal team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us in Denver to work on various projects that support our global environmental compliance program. A basic scientific understanding of chemicals is a plus.

This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will gain experience working in a corporate environment.



  • You will be part ofthe Environmental Affairs team in the Legal Department.
  • You will be supporting global environmental and chemical regulation compliance programs including but not limited to emerging topics and evolving regulations (e.g. US EPA TSCA, global PFAS, CEPA ECCC, and REACH, RoHS).
  • You will be reading, merging, analyzing and summarizing information and data.
  • You will obtain experience working with business professionals and focus on career development.



Key responsibilities (to name a few):



  • Research environmental and chemical regulations.
  • Assist with building/improving a corporate chemical compliance program.
  • Review data from global chemical database against regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and collect chemical data across functional teams and global stakeholders.

About You

  • Pursuing a law degree, preferably with a course in environmental or science related topic
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel (ability to manipulate spreadsheets)
  • Quick learner in pulling data and reports from different management information systems
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Energetic self-starter and team player
  • Ability to work independently and interact well with all levels of the organization
  • Work at the Denver office in person without relocation assistance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

PAY & BENEFITS



  1. Summer Internship - Hourly Rate between $20.00-$25.00
  2. Not eligible for employee benefits
  3. 40 hours a week
