Position Title: Senior Director of Procurement and Logistics

Reports To:: VP, Technical

Schedule: Monday through Friday business hours and additional as required

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related engineering field; MBA preferred

Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, and logistics management. Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role

Languages: English

Traits: Detailed understanding of marine operations and related supply chains. Proven expertise in strategic sourcing and process management with a focus on service fulfillment. Expert-level contract negotiation skills and extensive experience in contract management. Demonstrated success in streamlining purchasing processes and driving cost reductions. Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Experience reporting directly to senior executives, including CEOs. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that deliver measurable results

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Sr. Director of Procurement and Logistics will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive procurement and logistics strategies that align with Fairwater's business objectives. This role will oversee all aspects of procurement, vendor management, and logistics operations, with a focus on optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing service delivery.

Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and execute strategic procurement initiatives to optimize costs, improve vendor performance, and ensure consistent quality of goods and services
  • Lead and manage all aspects of marine-related supply chain operations, ensuring seamless logistics and timely delivery
  • Direct the development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Oversee the RFP process, contract negotiations, and ongoing contract management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers
  • Lead material resource planning efforts to ensure optimal inventory levels and supply chain resilience
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior executives, including the CEO
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and logistics team
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all procurement and logistics functions
