Position Overview:

To support the company through execution of comprehensive donor screens, arranging shipment of donated tissues, and acting as liaison between TPL staff, the Donor Services Team, and the Recovery Partners.

Responsibilities:



  1. Field screening calls from Recovery Partners for potential donors. Employ critical thinking using medical knowledge and Artivion criteria to evaluate preliminary donor eligibility, including assessment of the following: relevant medical records, clinical course, hemodilution assessment, medical history, and behavioral risk assessment information.
  2. Assist Recovery Partners with questions related to recovery, packaging, and acceptance criteria.
  3. Facilitate shipment of tissue to Artivion with the help of courier companies and assist couriers with logistics problems.
  4. Actively communicate with TPL management to ensure incoming tissue donation volumes do not exceed processing capabilities within a given timeframe.
  5. Monitor arrival times for incoming tissues and notify TPL staff when there is a change in routing or when tissue will be arriving late or expired.
  6. Place orders for Recovery Partner supplies and maintain the database which keeps track of all orders and supply levels.


Qualifications:



  1. EMT or EMS Certificate, LPN, B.S. in a related biological field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  2. Must have working knowledge of medical terminology.
  3. Excellent customer service skills and professional phone manner.
  4. Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently.
