JOB SUMMARY: The Junior Recruiter manages the full cycle recruitment to maintain the required staffing levels for the organization. The position is accountable for researching, creating opportunities, advertising, scheduling, prescreening and interviewing applicants, administering applicable pre-hire assessments. This demanding position calls for excellent time management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to succeed in a results-oriented setting. This position reports to the Director of Recruitment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Participate and implement initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-site organization. Identify, engage, and evaluate prospects using varied sourcing techniques including social media, job fairs, networking and job board posting.
  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process for assigned exempt, nonexempt, and temporary job vacancies.
  • Strategically source 50-100 + candidates per week achieving a 10%+ response rate.
  • Ensure adherence to all department policies and protocols for interviewing. Comply with OFCCP and AAP requirements to ensure that the HR department remains in compliance via logging specific candidate and employee information.
  • Constantly source candidates from a variety of online tools and networks.
  • Prescreen candidates for open positions over the phone and/or face to face.
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with the hiring managers; screening candidates to determine eligibility and highest qualified candidates; scheduling initial interviews; working with hiring managers on follow-up interviews and conduct reference check.
  • Post new vacancies and close and archive vacancy announcements at the end of the recruitment process Performing outreach activities, i.e., social media, professional organizations, etc. in candidate searches.
  • Follow-up regularly with hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of the recruitment process.
  • Participate in job fairs to maximize recruiting efforts and to bring awareness of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • One (1) year of high-volume recruiting experience.
  • Experience with full lifecycle recruitment in the social services and healthcare industry.
  • Experience to effectively utilize various recruitment channels and tools to attract a diverse pool of candidates.


SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:



  • Detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and focus is crucial and required for this position.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including applicant tracking systems, internet, Zoom, Teams, and MS Office suite of programs.
