Open Position: Fabrication Team Lead
Purpose:
Provide direction, instruction and guidance to the team/teams that you are leading so that all SQDC metrics are met on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the production and/or handling of goods.
Monitors results from each work center and moves labor as necessary to ensure consistent and steady flow.
Knows and follows Life Saving Rules (LSR's) 100% Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance, follows all safety and ergonomic guidelines and ensures team compliance with these.
Monitors and sustains a proactive safety culture and environment and actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
Works collaboratively with the Supervisor to resolve worker issues, complaints and performance issues.
Recommends measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, employee safety and efficiency.
Train, mentor, and coach employees in standard work processes, safety, quality, and productivity.
Support the onboarding of new employees.
Demonstrates strong leadership and fairness with organization, planning and teamwork.
Monitors and sustains standards and continuous improvement.
Supports and embraces the company's policies and practices.
Lead and ensure active participation of all employees in the daily morning meeting which includes action orientation towards improving everyday.
Perform essential job functions within the department(s) assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School graduate or GED.
1-3 years manufacturing experience in fabrication including CNC router and press brake experience.
Solid written and verbal communication.
Basic computer proficiency required (email, spreadsheets, word documents, etc.).
Preferred:
CNC Router programming knowledge
1 year leadership experience.
