Now hiring a Manager Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring Unit

Presbyterian is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry Manager to assists with the organization, direction, management and evaluation of Central Monitoring and EKG Services across All Presbyterian Delivery Systems in New Mexico. Including but not limited to, Central Delivery Facilities, Regional facilities and PresNows. The Manager will collaborate with the Director of the Heart & Vascular program, physicians, Bio-med, IT, and staff to develop and maintain operations that support excellence in Cardiac/Telemetry monitoring services.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Associate degree, 3 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6 years of clinical/technical experience required; Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring experience preferred


Qualifications

  • Associate Degree
  • BLS required.
  • Promoted up to Lead Cardiac Telemetry Monitor Tech.
  • Microsoft office, GE Muse. Philips Monitoring System, Pacer Interrogation Devices
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, infection control and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous quality improvement methods and tools.
  • Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served and must have excellent people skills.


Responsibilities

  • Performs Human Resource duties including hiring, corrective action, retention, and selection of personnel.
  • Manages and directs FTEs assuring uniformity of care, departmental efficiencies, overseeing staff scheduling and productivity, and technical/administrative operations.
  • Assists in the development and coordination of annual and ongoing department planning to include strategic planning, financial budgeting; patient care, customer satisfaction: staffing, and information management.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards.
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert and a technical resource for Cardiac Monitoring and interpretation.
  • Implements, educates, and assists in directing the departmental initiatives assuring customer satisfaction and quality standards.
  • Responsible for budget development and preparation, and monitoring and management of financials.
  • Responsible for making recommendations and providing rationale for capital equipment purchases in collaboration with Director.
  • Responsible for conducting performance evaluations.
  • May be asked to perform clinical functions in the area managed.
  • Will frequently interact and collaborate with nurse and other multidisciplinary department managers and supervisors as needed to ensure proper participation with operating policies and will frequently be involved with interdepartmental and interfacility projects.
  • Maintains quality improvement initiatives and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
