SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Production Controller that oversees material handling, storage, parts procurement, and overall supply chain in a production environment.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Under minimal supervision, plans and coordinates production plan and schedule using considerations such as low cost, timeliness, and effectiveness.
- Collaborates within project teams comprised of engineers and project managers to launch various demands.
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between engineers and the Technical Manager.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Coordinates all production and repair functions in the execution of assigned work scope.
- Updates and maintains the Integrated Master Schedule to ensure proper planning of all projects.
- Records and documents material movements and disposition from incoming receipt through repair cycle, and prepares return shipment to customer.
- Logs and tracks production progress and reviews factors affecting production schedules.
- Locates materials and supplies by receiving or pulling.
- Sources and orders materials as required.
- Verifies materials listed on repair orders and monitors material inventories.
- Identifies, pulls, packs, and crates stock for shipment.
- Creates and updates tracking reports and correspondence.
- Trains lower-level production coordinators.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6)+ years of experience in production coordination.
- Two (2)+ years of experience in materials management.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Work requires some knowledge of business and a strong command of the English language.
- Ability to speak effectively over the telephone and before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
