The Department of Pediatrics at West Virginia University Research Corporation is currently accepting applications for a (Remote) Part-time Asthma Program Assistant position in the School of Medicine.

About the Opportunity

The Asthma Program Assistant will support the program coordinator and program manager in the day-to-day operations of the asthma program. This role involves providing administrative, logistical, and data management assistance, ensuring smooth execution of program activities and facilitating effective communication with stakeholders. The assistant will play a key role in maintaining program records, coordinating events, and supporting program evaluations.

What You'll Do



  • Assist the program coordinator and the program manager with daily operations of the asthma program.
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and maintaining data related to the program (e.g., participant information, program outcomes, surveys).
  • Prepare newsletters, emails, and other communication materials to update stakeholders on program progress.
  • Participates in/on a variety of meetings, committees, task forces, and/or related groups.
  • Support the delivery of program activities, such as organizing workshops or health education sessions.
  • Ensure all program materials, supplies, and resources are available and organized.


Work Hours: 24 Hours per week

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the following:

    • Administrative or program support role, preferably in an educational or healthcare setting


  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

  • Demonstrates collaboration skills and techniques and builds positive relationships.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and make appropriate decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to build credibility, trust, and rapport with stakeholders on all levels, both within and outside the organization.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Capability of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
