ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River. The Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This role provides administrative support, assists in incident investigations, tracks compliance metrics, and helps coordinate safety training initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and enforcement of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain safety records, training logs, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate safety training sessions, orientations, and refresher courses for employees
  • Track incident reports, assure preliminary investigations, and follow up on corrective actions
  • Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies
  • Act as a liaison between departments to promote safety awareness and communicate policy changes
  • Prepare and distribute safety reports and dashboards to management
  • Organize safety committee meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Write daily reports and document project activities
  • Ability to solve problems individually and in a team setting
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of field level employees
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Human Resources, or related field (preferred)
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or equivalent (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in a safety, compliance, or administrative role
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and workplace compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with safety management software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices preferred
  • Knowledge of BNSF Training preferred
  • Knowledge of North Dakota Workmen's Compensation process

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with frequent interactions with operational and field personnel
  • Occasional visits to worksites are required
  • May be exposed to varying weather conditions, noise levels, and hazardous materials during inspections
  • Work hours may vary to accommodate shift schedules or emergency situations
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
  • May require lifting or carrying items up to 25 pounds (e.g., safety equipment, files)
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, or hard hats when in designated work zones
  • Occasional bending, climbing stairs/ladders, or working in confined spaces during inspections
