Job Summary:

Acuity-PT&C is a world-class project management/project services with an ever-expanding list of public and private clients. Acuity-PT&C is looking for qualified professionals to expand our existing project controls team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) at Hanford, WA. Hanford knowledge and/or experience is not required but is preferred.

Our Hanford team provides high quality services in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organization standards, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized. Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Skills:

  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and high-end Excel features, including functions and pivot tables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Software including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
  • Use and proficiency with EVMS software such as COBRA, PRISM, or other type of software.
  • Excellent communication and interface skills; ability to elicit information and utilize in development of products and provision of support is required.

Required skills for project controls:

  • Significant use with Primavera P6 scheduling software,
    • Ability to evaluate and monitor project schedule for integrity, reliability, and accuracy.
    • Ability to review activity date changes via a Baseline Change Request to independently assess impacts to interim, facility and contract milestones.
  • Ability to review and analyze a contractor's earned value management system (EVMS) data and other cost and schedule performance information.
  • Ability to develop charts, metrics, or other documentation to support the reporting and presentation of project performance to DOE management and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to perform risk evaluation(s) and analysis of all aspects of individual and combined risks, by activity, to include support for development and review of documentation for risk management program, tracking and reporting of monthly risk changes, and data collection, calculation, and analysis of monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) values.
  • Ability to integrate project controls data to support internal and external project reviews and periodic reporting requirements.
  • Able to perform change control monitoring and evaluation efforts with frequent, intentional interactions with DOE management and subject matter experts to ensure early awareness, facilitate real-time feedback on identified issues, and to obtain concurrence on recommended Contractor interactions, changes, or other actions.
  • Assist with the identification and selection of strategic or troublesome changes to closely review, evaluate and when appropriate, propose recommended actions or adjustments.
  • Perform evaluations of specific trends, change notices, and directed changes.
  • Evaluate all contract change documents for scope entitlement and cost reasonableness.
  • Conduct targeted review of the contractor's EVMS and baseline management tools on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications:

  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
  • Must have over 7 plus years of experience in the design, construction, or consulting industry.
  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Management, or relevant field of study. Alternately, an accredited high school certificate plus years of specialized financial management experience in addition to the requisite experience.
  • No remote or teleworking; able to report to a DOE office in Richland, WA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional, Certified Cost Professional, or other recognized professional certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Strong initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
