Responsibilities

    You will be part of the team that creates solutions for our clients' environmental and engineering practices in the planning, permitting, design, and remediation service space needs.
  • As the planner, you will support and manage the execution of environmental projects, be a subject matter expert, and be a technical lead/author on environmental planning.
  • This includes managing permitting applications and analyzing environmental data supporting the development of environmental documents and studies for NEPA, CEQA, and regulatory compliance for various projects.
  • Key duties will include project support, team leadership, client relationships, some business development, and managing and mentoring junior staff on a task level.
  • You will be working with clients, resource agencies, and environmental and technical staff to prepare environmental documents and related technical studies.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • BS. or M.S. in Environmental Science, Planning, or Natural and/or Cultural Resources Management or related field from an accredited university
  • This is an onsite or hybrid role, working in either Phoenix, Arizona, or Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • 3-6 years of related consulting experience in various areas, ranging from leading and managing technical teams, project management, and business development, of which at least half should be related to fulfilling NEPA or CEQA requirements.
  • The candidate should have an established and successful history executing tasks for both small and large-scale projects, including but not limited to assisting with developing proposals and cost estimates, executing project tasks, assisting with developing strategic plans, and experience working with private and public-sector clients.
  • Environmental compliance, permitting, and agency consultations, including but not limited to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and other local, federal, and state agencies in the Western U.S.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid time management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects with tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including GIS and Microsoft Office suite
