Summary: The Reduction Coordinator is responsible for supporting the NGB Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention contract through program and case management, training coordination, and supervisory duties. This role requires a highly qualified individual with a strong background in substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, resilience, and program management.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and deliver training programs related to substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, and resilience.
- Provide case management support to ensure effective program implementation and participant outcomes.
- Develop and present briefings to various audiences, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Collaborate with state units to coordinate training schedules, including weekends.
- Maintain and update program databases and records.
- Develop and implement metrics to measure program effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated instructing and briefing skills, with the ability to adapt to various audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and metric development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field plus a minimum of four years of practical experience in Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, or Resilience, and program and case management, or 10 years of practical experience.
- Experience in instructing and briefing skills, which demonstrate flexibility with various audiences.
- Ability to work a variable schedule as duties require, including many weekends when state units are conducting training Suicide and Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator (State Level).
- Ability to pass a background check and eligible to obtain a Contractor Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred Qualifications:
- It is highly desirable that the contractor have managerial and/or supervisory experience.
- Experience in substance abuse and suicide prevention programs.
- Previous experience working with the National Guard or similar organizations.
- Advanced certifications or training in related fields.
