Mechanical Assembler act ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Produces components and finished hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors on several different product lines by assembling parts and subassemblies. * Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. * Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. * Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists. * Uses hand tools, assembly fixtures, or power tools to assemble parts. * Examines connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. * Resolves assembly problems by notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. * Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs. * Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or GED. * Minimum 1 year of previous assembly work. Experience with hydraulic assembly a plus. * Ability to interpret technical drawings including schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. * Mechanical aptitude. * Simple math skills. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
