Summary of the Job:

The Strategic Co-Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering a high quality, customer-centric experience via marketing and creative in all aspects of the customer journey.

About This Role:

This role is responsible for developing the Marketing Strategy that addresses the overall goals of assigned prospect(s), partner(s), vertical(s) or segment(s). Strategy will consider all channels available to marketers today and recommend all those that are applicable to drive the desired results. The Manager works closely with Business Development Manager, Account Executive, Vertical Owner, or Strategist to thoroughly understand expectations, any contractual obligations, proven strategies and areas for testing. Once Marketing Strategy is presented, approved and funded, the Strategic Co-Brand Marketing Manager will design marketing plans/campaigns to meet the strategy.This role will be the Marketing Expert of assigned prospect(s), partner(s), vertical(s) and/or segment(s) and ensure constant communication around marketing plans and marketing results to all stakeholders involved internally and externally.

The Strategic Co-Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for the creative strategy, development and approval of all the creative elements. This role is the creative and communication experts for all creative development and design for marketing specific initiatives. The role will lead an agency partner or internal resources to accomplish the marketing strategy, channel planning and delivery and creative execution as necessary.

The position will also research, uncover, and articulate the goals, attitudes, behaviors, motivations, demographics and tensions of the customer of assigned Prospect(s)/partner(s)/segment(s)/vertical(s). The role will know the customer/prospect inside and out in order to fulfill at all aspects of the customer journey and deliver in a timely and customer-centric manner. The Strategic Co-Brand Marketing Manager maintains deep knowledge of the targets' wants and needs and uses this knowledge to build applicable personas and audience manifesto.

The Manager is responsible for developing the Marketing Strategy and Marketing Plan that achieves defined prospect/partner/segment/vertical goals.

  • Document the lifecycle journeys, audience manifesto and personas in the Marketing Strategy.

  • Use customer insights to define the strategies needed to win in the marketplace.

  • Create a Marketing Plan that is fueled by the insight-drive strategies and accomplishes the agreed upon goals.

  • Ensure that all touch points are included in the Marketing Strategy, even if strategically guided from other sources: Business Development, Account Executive, Direct Mail Strategy, Customer Management Strategy, partner-planned activities.

  • Manage the spend of approved marketing funds.

  • Forecast, report and oversee marketing plan results to ensure account goals are met, based on agreed upon strategy.

  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns/tactics.

  • Understand the data needed for formation of P&L so proposals can be built by Business Development (BD) or Account Executive (AE) or Customer Management Strategist to obtain funding for all marketing plans.

  • Work with BD, AE, Strategist, Client Manager (CM), Marketing Project Management (MPM) and other stakeholders internally to ensure Marketing Strategy and Marketing Plan are approved, funded, accurate and understood. Represent the view of the prospect or partners marketing needs and feedback internally and provide the support needed throughout the execution of the marketing plans.

The role serves as Marketing Expert for the assigned partner, segment, or vertical both internally and externally.

  • Present and obtain buy-in on marketing strategy

  • Communicate status of marketing activities

  • Coordinate partner-created marketing for proper FNBO approvals

The Strategic Co-Brand Marketing Manager will develop and approve all creative and communication for assigned prospects, partners, segments and vertical.

  • Design marketing pieces for all channels according to best practices, brand requirements and desired key messages.

  • Lead the communication and management of internal creative design and external creative agency partnerships.

  • Ensure creative design is maximized to achieve KPIs identified

  • Collaborate with compliance and legal to achieve effective and accurate customer-ready marketing pieces. React to compliance feedback on official BANKMKT tickets and implement necessary changes to get to a final approved piece.

The role completes market research, competitive research and implementation of marketing initiatives, per research findings. Aware of the competition and the factors that may differentiate as it relates to marketing strategy and creative design.

The position will assist in marketing efforts in new business development support as assigned. Work on the customer journeys, provide the marketing strategy for the RFP, work on a marketing plan for RFP or presentations

The Strategic Co-Brand Marketing Manager will invest in building knowledge base around marketing changes in the world: customer journeys, creative positioning, design trends, competitor trends. Takes on additional team support tasks to continually improve work quality or customer experience. Continuing to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers. Always look to develop new marketing or system specifications to improve the future effectiveness of business operations.

BSA Compliance: Understand and comply with the Bank's BSA/AML Program, which includes, but is not limited to the following: (Ongoing)

  • Complying with the Bank's Customer Identification Program and Customer Due Diligence Policy;

  • Identifying, monitoring and reporting suspicious activity;

  • Completing BSA/AML training in a timely manner as directed by management;

  • Understand and adhere to all bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to role.

  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in the FNBO Compliance Accountability Program.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing marketing strategies, leading marketing efforts, marketing coordination and/or marketing creative development

  • Proven experience in leveraging multiple channels for optimized go-to-market strategies

  • Ability to communicate feedback on creative development to obtain simplified and customer-centric creative

  • Strong ability to work and communicate in a team setting, while managing time and projects independently and proactively

  • In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in marketing discipline

  • Inclination to take initiative to solve problems

  • Strong relationship development skills with the ability to influence for new ways of thinking

  • Thrive in a fast-moving environment with high tolerance for change

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of design best practices and a strong understanding of brand marketing.

  • Undergraduate degree or demonstrated experience in marketing related field

Desired:

  • Experience with external client management is a plus

  • Past work at an advertising agency or working with advertising agencies

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $80,061.00-$132,099.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
