Manufacturing Painter Assistant

2nd Shift, Mon - Fri, 2pm - 10pm

$18 - $19 + $1 shift premium

Summary:

Under general supervision the Indoor Manufacturing Painter will assist in painting the campus facilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Basic interpretation of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine prepping requirements.
• Inspects parts/structures after paint to ensure they meet all quality standards.
• Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications.
• Performs basic filling operations related to the cosmetic appearance of the work piece being worked; including plugging holes and masking operations.
• Makes sure that workstation is clean, organized and free of hazardous materials and FOD.
• Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience or automotive/aircraft refinishing experience a plus
• Satisfy Personnel Proficiency Requirements after the required time period
• Must have a working comprehension of the English language complimented with workplace levels of grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use inspections tools as required

• ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes
• Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses
• Hearing protection, in specific locations
• Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas
