As a part of the OptumCare network, Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team

Location: 34 Manchester Avenue, Forked River, 3107

Specialty: Pediatrics

Schedule: 40 total hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 8:45am & 5:00pm. Thursdays between 8:45am & 7:00pm. Up to two Saturdays per month 9:00am - 1:00pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment
• Room patients, obtain health history, and check vital signs
• Administer injections and collect specimens
• Document patient care using electronic medical record software
• Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork as needed
• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants with minor, in-office procedures

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• National Medical Assistant certification
• Computer literacy
• Flexible Schedule ; 2 Saturdays per month and ability to assist at nearby practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a Medical Assistant performing clinical back-office duties including injections, obtaining vital signs and recording medical history
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Pediatrics Experience

The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
