Job Summary

Summary: As a Sous Chef with Levy, it will be your primary responsibility to execute cuisine that exceeds guest expectations and provide strong leadership while delivering cost goals and living our Company vision and values. In this role, you will lead the Restaurants & Cafes culinary team in executing high quality dishes while maintaining efficiency and consistency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute menus in accordance with brand standards
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste
  • Ensure that all security, safety, and sanitation standards are achieved
  • Provide operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment are ordered for anticipated business levels
  • Assist with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure.
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop team members according to Levy guidelines
  • Promote a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
  • Use all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Display a positive attitude towards team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a culinary leadership position
  • A culinary degree is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Understanding of financial concepts
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
