YOUR IMPACT:

As a Solutions Consultant with OpenText, you will be primarily responsible for supporting our Vertica business in support of Enterprise Sales. OpenText Vertica is a high-performance, scalable analytical database designed for handling large-scale data analytics and machine learning workloads. It enables businesses to process, analyse, and derive insights from massive datasets quickly, whether deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid environments. As businesses evaluate OpenText Vertica Platforms, they rely on Solution Consultants as the trusted technical advisors. You will play a crucial role in understanding customer challenges, identifying the right solutions, and demonstrating how our platform meets mission-critical needs. As key members of the sales team, Solutions Consultants drive customer engagement and directly influence the overall experience with OpenText Vertica.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:

  • You will collaborate with Enterprise Account Executives to drive new customer acquisitions and expand existing relationships. Your ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into impactful demonstrations will be essential in showcasing the value of OpenText Vertica.
  • Working closely with Account Executives to secure new business and grow existing accounts. Support the technical evaluation process, acting as a subject matter expert in data warehousing, data lakes & query optimization.
  • Translate customer needs into tangible business improvements by developing and deploying predictive machine learning models.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Europe and the United States, including Sales, Presales, Professional Services, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and others to provide customer insights and shape future product developments.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • 2+ years Presales and customer facing experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Deep understanding of contemporary AI tools, applications, theories, and principles is essential to ensure we leverage the most effective solutions.
  • Foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, data modelling, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Database principles, with a focus on analytics and in-database machine learning.
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing technologies including ETL, ELT, BI Visualization Tools.
  • Hands-on experience with OLAP databases, distributed systems, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to design, execute, and deploy POCs in real-world customer environments.
  • Columnar databases (e.g., Vertica, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake) a plus.
  • Cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Excellent customer relations including written and oral communications skills in English.
  • Ability to travel to customer, partner, and OpenText sites primarily across the United States
