Job Description Summary

Ensures that IT processing services are fulfilled in accordance with service level agreements, optimizing computing resources. Managing the demand for computing resources. Monitoring, analyzing, and tuning the performance and throughput of selected IT services and utilizing supporting resources. Developing capacity planning; documenting the costs related to business activities, to make more informed decisions on business needs.

Job Description

  • Manage, plan and lead IT plant department team activities.
  • Manage IT team by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and correcting behaviors.
  • Define and manage the IT budget and investments following IT Corporate standards, and the IT team KPOs and IT department scorecard to ensure alignment to Business and Corporate IT objectives.
  • Manage critical IT systems and infrastructure implementation projects for new product lines.
  • Manage and coordinate IT support for company infrastructure including datacenter management, network (WAN/LAN/Wireless), Servers (Physical/Virtual/Cloud), Backups, printers and users' devices and plant floor infrastructure including industrial and ethernet network, desktops, laptops and industrial PCs.
  • Manage and lead strategic in-house, custom-built MES (Manufacturing Execution System) projects implementing Warehouse Management System (WMS), Visual Management, Scrap Control and other manufacturing, quality and materials processes.
  • Manage and coordinate IT support for manufacturing plant's systems including MES, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), Device Wise Workbench, SQL Database Studio FIS (Factory Information System), QIS (Quality Information System), Traceability, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and others.
  • Develop and support a collaborative environment working closely to other areas pursuing processes improvements and digitalization for systems integration between, production, quality, materials, finance and other areas such as integration between SCADA, FIS, MES, Oracle ERP and other systems.

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or foreign equivalent education, and 5 years' post baccalaureate progressive experience working in the automotive manufacturing industry in the position of IT Manager, IT Infrastructure Coordinator, Plant Floor Systems Coordinator, IT Coordinator, or other IT systems engineering coordination position. 5 years' experience is required in each of the following:

  • Providing IT Support for automotive manufacturing company for IT plant floor systems including MES, SCADA, WMS, ERP, and infrastructure including industrial and ethernet network, desktops, laptops and industrial PCs.
  • IT projects implementation for automotive industry new products, deploying systems integration between SCADA, MES and Oracle ERP and supporting manufacturing, quality and materials processes and integration to finance processes.
  • Working with Microsoft SQL Database Studio and Device Wise Workbench to support systems, traceability, data acquisition and SCADA integration to MES.
  • IT assets configuration, monitoring and management including datacenter, network, users' devices, industrial networks and industrial computers and training.
