Position Overview

The Service Technician, Propane is responsible for servicing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing various patio heaters both on and off-site.

Essential Functions

  • Diagnose installation errors and equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs on patio heaters
  • Performs visual and physical tests on cylinders
  • Diagnose installation errors and equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs on patio heaters
  • Maintain accurate records of service work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job
  • Load and unload of cylinders for customers and delivery drivers
  • Inspect propane cylinders to ensure they are in-date and meet safety requirements
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting various equipment. Also, provide information to customers to enhance the efficiency of our product in their facility
  • Refill propane cylinders
  • Determine the proper course of action when an improperly installed, damaged, or defective system or equipment is identified
  • Assist the delivery department when needed. Must be proficient in operating all pumps and equipment on delivery trucks
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and customers

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required and the ability to obtain a Hazmat endorsement
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Professional and clean appearance in adherence to company policies
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and computer literate

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job successfully.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. As well as stand on his or her feet for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position, overtime-eligible, and on-site. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 4:00pm.
