Description
GENERAL SUMMARY Mechanic repairs and maintains trucks, bulldozers, scrapers, wheel and track loaders, trench diggers, asphalt equipment as well as any other type of machinery that may be brought in for maintenance and/or repairs. This occupation involves the inspection, testing, maintaining along with diagnoses of malfunctions and repairing various heavy duty stationary and mobile equipment, including but not limited to; batch plants, crushers, screens, conveyors, scrubbers, feeders, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, quarry trucks, graders, mixer trucks, skid loaders, forklifts, compressors, welding machines, etc. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. GED and/or equivalent combination of experience PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 1. CDL license with endorsements related to the mechanic and transport field DUTIES AND/OR RESPONISBILITIES 1. Utilize manuals, hand tools & power tools 19. Directs the work of trades helpers and other mechanics and tradesperson where their assistance is needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 1.
