MIG Welding Team Member- Weekends 1st & 2nd Shift Darien, WI
Wage Range: $23.00- 32.00/hr. plus overtime SUMMARY: Power Solutions International participates in E-Verify. We are currently not offering Sponsorship or Relocation Assistance for this role. Under the direction of the Metal Processing Team Lead, the Welding Team Member will be responsible for welding materials, equipment and supplies as well as perform general equipment maintenance and repairs. This is an opportunity to work Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 12-hour shifts (5am-5pm or 5pm-5am) with an option for overtime. As this will be 36 hours you will still be considered a full-time employee, so eligible for our amazing benefits! ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Skilled at all basic welding including GMAW/MIG welding techniques.
- Drill, tap, saw, and grind parts, as necessary.
- Operate hoist, cranes, riggings, dollies, and trucks to move equipment from one location to another.
- Operate lathe, milling machines and drill press to grind, file, and adjust machine parts to dimensional specifications.
- Monitor and verify finished parts conform to engineering drawings and quality standards per the Control Plan.
- Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work including tool setup and operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling.
- Perform general machine maintenance per Daily Maintenance Checklists.
- As needed, lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds of materials to assist in production. Learn and execute team lifts for items over 40 pounds. Adhere to all safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment and ergonomic devices and lift assists, navigating the plant with alert behavior, operating power tools and machines according to instructions, and disposing of waste properly.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience including the ability to apply math (fractions, ratios, measurements) and to read, comprehend, and convert instruction manuals/diagrams into work.
- Demonstrated proficiency in various welding techniques such as GMAW/MIG or GTAW/TIG including the ability to follow blueprints, ISO procedures, WPS's or other work instructions.
- Working knowledge of Metric and English measurement systems with the ability to perform conversions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic understanding of cost-efficient Lean operating within the department
