Medical Assistant, OBGYN and Midwifery- Northampton

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our specialty onsite, weekdays. This role will predominantly be based out of the following office: 22 Atwood Drive Northampton, MA. However, employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our 3 locations in the Northampton/Amherst area (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross-coverage purposes). The schedule for this position is 4, 10-hour days per week, 7:30am to 6:00pm with either Wednesday or Thursday off! As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team with rotating provider coverage.
Responsibilities include: Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed) Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.) Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
