Position Overview

QinetiQ Inc. is seeking a PMO Director to support the integration of existing and new technologies aimed at providing a fully integrated airborne solution with primary radio detection and ranging (RADAR) and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) payloads across a robust command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) platform. This position will be part of our Global Surveillance portfolio and directly support both US Government and Allied customers.



Responsibilities

The PMO Director will be responsible for developing and implementing PMO processes and policies, directing project management staff, and working with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. The PMO Director is also responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all projects within the organization.

Specific responsibilities include:

    Develops PMO processes and ensures they are effective and followed.
  • Develops Metrics, Key Performance Indicators, and monitors them for warnings and indicators to performance
  • Develops vision and plan for programs and projects based on business needs and assigns resources.
  • Develops and implements project management methodologies, best practices, and standards to enhance project delivery.
  • Ensure development of detailed project plans with resource assignment and capacity planning.
  • Leads team in coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Oversee all aspects of project management, including scope, resource allocation, timelines, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure project continuity.
  • Track and report on project performance, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring solution feasibility.
  • Manage the relationship with the business and leadership stakeholders.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Ensure projects are measured and meet/exceed expected business requirements and KPI's.
  • Oversees documentation for processes and procedures for projects.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 15 years relevant program management experience; or master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • PMP Certification
  • SECRET or higher security clearance
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
