Job Description* Knowledge of the basic competencies within industries, specific occupations and specific employers, including job readiness, job search etiquette, technical skills and work environment; * Develop, coordinate and implement Rapid Response activities for businesses and affected workers; * Coordinate efforts with the TWC Field Representative to develop Rapid Response Management on site meetings; * Must coordinate orientations for affected staff with the TWC Field Representative, Department of Labor Representative and TAA Staff as needed; * May coordinate job search workshop sessions and or Job Fairs; * Notifies the board Rapid Response Manager and Business Development Unit immediately upon hearing of an upcoming lay off; * Order necessary brochures and handouts from TWC or vendor; prepare other handouts necessary for orientations and job search workshops; maintain sufficient inventory of materials; prepares packets for Rapid Response activities; * Develops and maintains activity reports; ensures data is entered timely and accurately into TWIST and WIT; * Assists program participants in developing vocational goals reflective of their skills, capabilities and interests. * Manages participant progress towards achieving goals by creating and updating plans. * Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in related field or a satisfactory equivalent of education and relevant experience. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated customer service skills * Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources * Valid driver's license in good standing and proof of liability insurance are required. Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. Position is Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Hourly rate is: $25.00 per hour.
