Description
POSITION SUMMARY. Under the supervision of the Manager of Medication Management Clinic, will oversee non-clinical office staff, be responsible for processing pharmacy prior authorizations, helping patients enroll in copay cards, and working referrals for medical providers at the Medication Management Clinic (MMS). After all referral tasks are complete, initial visit will be scheduled. Requirements EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT, ExCPT), Maintains current registration with the NM Board of Pharmacy. SKILLS:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years' experience with pharmacy prior authorizations and referrals preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Manager and clinical supervisor of Medication Management clinic ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogens - B - (Occasional exposure in daily duties. Little expected risk but may be exposed unexpectedly to potential infectious materials. Exposure may be superficial and limited to a small amount of fluid.) Close quarters in a busy environment. Low risk for infectious disease. Possible exposures to hazardous chemicals, allergenic drug products and needle sticks. Moderate exposure to video display terminals. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to stand up for entire shift (8 to 12 hours), to stoop and bend over, to lift moderate loads (up to 30 lbs.). Hearing sufficient to answer telephone and eyesight sufficient to read prescriptions and job orders. Must be able to move throughout the hospital at a rapid pace to an entire shift. |
